ShrunkenNed's Acceptance Speech
Good evening.
First off I would like to apologize to the citizens of this great country for not making this speech earlier; unfortunately, at my planned time I was changing a flat tire. I bring this up ONLY to stress that I am not someone who's afraid to get their hands dirty.
And trust me, we're all going to need to get our hands dirty.
When approached by Mr Ex to accept this nomination, it did not take me long to mull it over. I knew I would be running with the right man for the job, a true patriot, with real ideas that step out of party lines.
And that's what we need, isn't it? Someone who is there for the people. Not for his fellow Republicans, not for his fellow Democrats. FOR THE PEOPLE.
He uses a platform of logic and common sense. My Lord, don't we wish more politicians did that? And that is my point. Ex is not a politician. We've had too many years of politicians running the show, and where has that gotten us? Executioner does not play to corporations, to the bank managers, to big oil. He is a representative of the people.
With a big axe to cut through the red tape and years of bull.
So you may find yourself asking, "What about you , Ned? What qualifications do you bring to the job?" So let me tell you a little about myself.
I am an American. I believe this IS the greatest country to live in.
I am reminded of this every day when I see a passerby in a car stop to give a homeless guy a buck or two.
When I see young people volunteer their time at soup kitchens. When I see parents take the time to stop and play with their children in a park instead of sit them in front of a TV.
When I turn on the conservative talk radio station, and then switch over to a liberal talk show., and can hear both sides of an argument.
When I see people exercise their right to protest against a war, or in support of a war for that matter.
When I see people that care so passionately about a cause, they will give up time, effort and money to fight for that cause.
How easily we take these freedoms for granted.
As vice president, I will use my position to ensure these freedoms do not fail, by being a representative OF the people, BY the people, and FOR the people.
I will fight for an improved education system. I will fight for the right for children to have the best education they can possibly have. I will fight for tougher standards for teachers, and work toward better funding for schools and programs for children. I do have some specific ideas I will share on education in later days, as, being a father of a beautiful one year old girl, this is a subject near and dear to my heart.
I will fight for you, even if that means fighting my running mate if I believe he is out of line, because, let's be honest: do you really want a lap dog as a second in command? I can be just as tough as an Executioner.
They say there's only one difference between an Executioner and a Shrunken Head Witch Doctor.

So, ladies and gentlemen, I proudly accept this nomination for Vice President, and look forward to serving you in 2009!!!!

Executioner's 2nd Speech
I come to you as just a man......
A man mired so deep in the same mud. The same muck. And the same chest high water we are all wading through trying to find our way out.
Folks, this is not a way of life.
This is not our way of life.
This has been their way of life by destroying that gap between upper class and the lower class. There is no middle.
We barely have a rope left that we are all scrambling over ourselves to climb up to be a part of that elite. Why? Why can't we change that?.........
We can.....
We can all work together to pull that rope down and bring them to our level so we can remind them of who we are.
We are the American people. Not some disease or rodent...........
I am not going to point out the faults or make up reasons as to why my opponents should not be the next president.
I am here to let you know why I should be the next president.
I decided enough was enough...
That no more will I idly sit by and hope for the best. We have to make it our best.
Abraham Lincoln once said: "At what point is the danger to be expected? I answer, that if it ever reach us it must spring from amongst us. It cannot come from abroad. If destruction be our lot, we ourselves must be the authors and finishers."
Well that danger has come. Our country is in despair with people losing jobs at an alarming rate, oil prices higher than they have ever been, a debt so far beyond our imaginations that our grandchildren are going to suffer from it and our economy is in ruins. And the list goes on.
I am not going to let that danger finish it's job and I hope you won't either.
Together we all can make these changes. Even if it has to be one change at a time.
There are many issues we have to face. And looking at this list is daunting and terrifying. Almost impossible to fix.
Yet we can.
We can fix it.
And it may take some time, some patience and some understanding.
This is a grueling challenge ahead of us that I am prepared to face with your support and help. I alone cannot change America. I am not a Superman flying in from someplace to save the day nor am I the villain, here to take all the money.
It's our money.
It's our freedom.
It's our children.
It's our future.
It's our America!
And I have an Axe!!!!!

Acceptance Speech by Executioner
As President I can promise you a fair state of mind.
I will work for you the people and not against.
I plan to bring back to this country what it is that we lost.
We have lost our identity as a strong, loving and powerful nation that is lenient and accepting. We have become a nation almost hated by the world.
We are not the world police, we are just another country in this world living a life we feel is grand.
My plan starts with much of the foreign aide.
How is it we can expect to help other countries when it seems we can't help ourselves first?
Like an alcoholic or drug addict, we as a country need help and to heal ourselves before we can help others heal...
Second, we need to focus more on the public and the activities the public needs to live happier lives.
Better transportation for the cities and urban areas as well as the suburban.
We need to clean up the streets in the lower class areas so the poor and struggling people can live in better environments and have better standards of living.
We need to focus our resources on the children and education.
Why spend money on wars when we can spend it on education to produce great minds that can someday make astounding contributions to society and the planet?
Why not focus the education system more to the person individually?
Each person learns differently. Some are hands on and some are not. We need to gear education to different needs so people will enjoy to learn and grow instead of fear and hate it.
Third, we need to change the way we present our media in the news and various outlets.
I am tired of seeing the drama first.
All the death, destruction, violence, hate and chaos for the headlines.
We need to focus more on the better advancements and strides towards good things going on in the world and life.
That starts to bring in better views and changes people's outlook.
Fourth, as President I will cut away more needless jobs and wages in the government and replace those with jobs geared to help others in life to guarantee a better standard of living.
I don't want to take away, I want to advance.
Seriously what makes me greater than the people I represent? Do I really need a huge security perimeter and task force around me?
Without the people I am nothing, so if you kill the people I am not a leader but a lone man.
So the military is there to protect you. I can just as easily get killed in the streets being a lone man nobody hardly knows as I can being the president that someone wants to assassinate.
So no more.
Besides how am I to get to know the people without them being able to talk or meet me?
Denmark is the happiest nation in the world. Why is that? I'll tell you..
They don't go after anybody for needless wars. Their government pays for nearly everything they need. They have health care, they have social activities funded by their government so they can meet friends and become better people and have fun, they have more people bicycling around then cars.
Sure yes they pay a high amount in taxes but they get results.
We pay taxes and what are our results?
We have nothing but a huge deficit with people that are losing homes, losing jobs, losing health and their sanctity of life.
You do the math I am gonna do the work asked of me.
Thank you for putting your faith in a fair and just candidate for the Presidency.
Also do not take my kindness for cowardliness. I have an axe and can use it.
